It is hard for me to believe that after more than a quarter century, our membership has expanded to tens of thousands of healthcare providers across all 50 states. When I co-founded this physician-led community, we were driven by an overwhelming desire to keep our patients as the primary focus of our work. Today, as the practice of medicine has become even more complex, this belief remains our central priority. It excites me that every day our members are working together to address the challenges and burdens that significantly impact our time, resources, and ultimately, our patient care.
This core belief has also fueled recent efforts to create an accessible platform that eases and eliminates the barriers to practicing medicine efifciently and effectively. This evolution of Pediatric Federation to PracticeWell includes:
Members, since day one, have saved millions of dollars in purchases and received millions of dollars in rebates by taking advantage of our time and money-saving programs. Leveraging the cooperation, skills, and increased scope of our community, PracticeWell will be expanding the member benefits to include human resource management, group insurance and benefit opportunities, and much more. Originally founded by pediatricians with pediatric practices in mind, it has become clear that medical professionals of all disciplines can and should have access to the services available to the current community. With the mission of expanding exceptional patient care firmly in mind, the transition to PracticeWell creates a more inclusive community.
Establishing fiscally sustainable programs to benefit our community has been an essential tenet of our foundation since the beginning. Adopting a benefit corporation structure allows us to formalize the mission and values that drive us, while maintaining the flexibility necessary to deliver innovative and truly impactful solutions to current and future generations of like-minded healthcare professionals.
Most exciting of all, this is only the beginning! The PracticeWell platform will continue to drive innovation, developing exciting ways to improve the lives and livelihoods of our members and our patients alike.
