October 2024 ACIP Meeting Agenda Available
CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices ( ACIP ) meeting is scheduled this month for October 23rd through October 24th. The Agenda is now set. First up for discussion is pneumococcal vaccines. Recent innovations and subsequent approvals for pneumococcal vaccines have given healthcare providers diverse serotype prevention options. Prevnar 20 PCV20, Vaxneuvance PCV 15, and Capvaxive PCV21 have welcome improvements in IPD prevention strategies.
Meningococcal vaccines will be a topic of discussion on Thursday. Recent advancements, vaccine combinations Men ACWY-B ( Penbraya ) and dosing schedule updates on GSK's MenB vaccine Bexsero will be covered.
Other vaccines will be reviewed as well from influenza, COVID and RSV, to Mpox and Chikungunya.
